Project Description
An initiative intended to unite people against climate disasters; spreading awareness on climate stories where people have experienced anything from air pollution, to cyclones and heat waves.
The Climate Disaster Project is an initiative intended to unite people against climate disasters; spreading awareness on climate stories where people have experienced anything from air pollution, to cyclones and heat waves. The team has collected 100’s of stories in a database, seeking to create an open-source archive for people to use for their own projects with the intention of raising awareness of the ever-lasting battle against our climate. Our task is to design a user-friendly archive, making it easy for users to navigate and uncover the information crucial for their research and projects.
Our mission will uncover the importance of spreading awareness to these stories and understanding how to present data for our users. We will create a filtering tool that will help users find the information that they are looking for, ensuring that it is presented in the order of importance that they would need. An interactive map will be created where users can look for stories in specific locations. Icons will be used to display the different disasters. We hope that through our research, and research methods, we will uncover new ways to filter information to better assist our users to find the information they are seeking.
