MPAD 4000: Capstone Projects is a year-long experiential learning course that allows MPAD students to practice and demonstrate the skills and tools learned in the Bachelor of Media Production and Design program. Students worked in groups of 3 to 4 and collaborated with one of four community partners to produce multi-media projects and expand their digital and media storytelling skills. Throughout the 2022\/23 academic year, students brainstormed, proposed, and executed projects that utilized their growing BMPD skillset. Although unique in nature and execution, this year\u2019s projects commonly addressed themes of place, wayfinding, and community. This year was the first time that MPAD 4000 was fully in-person, therefore the projects and the exhibition focused on a connection to place and being present \u201chere\u201d. The projects showcased the skills of the BMPD 4th year cohort through social media campaigns, virtual and augmented reality, navigation and wayfinding apps, video and animations, illustrations, 360 tours, web design, and community-based research. The exhibition celebrated the exceptional work completed in the course and acknowledged the professional journey students will embark on \u201cafter\u201d graduation. The title \u201cHere: After\u201d was chosen to recognize the students\u2019 hard work while \u201chere\u201d and the potential they bring to their time \u201cafter\u201d completing the program.<\/p>\n
