Undergraduate students from Media Production and Design (BMPD) and Journalism can register for free to participate in this one-day event. Groups composed of BMPD and Journalism students will compete for a $500 cash prize. Teams will create a proposal or prototype for a fact-based digital media project that addresses a design challenge related to both programs.

Like Game Jams and Hackathons, Create-Collab is a
short sprint-like event with participants working in small interdisciplinary groups to creatively meet a provided design challenge with the guidance of a professional Mentor.
The Mentors
Professionals from the media production and design and journalism industry will help groups brainstorm and plan their projects.
