Create-Collab is an all-day, in-person event hosted by BMPD and Journalism at Carleton University on Saturday, March 22, 2025, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Open to all BMPD and Journalism undergraduate students, groups will compete for a cash prize to create a digital media fact-based storytelling project/proposal/demo addressing a design challenge with the assistance of a professional mentor. Snacks and a pizza lunch will be provided. More information on the “About” page.

To register for Create-Collab, students can sign up below for free. Groups will be created composing of students from both programs with various backgrounds, academic years, and skill levels. Students will benefit from collaborating with new people and the professional expertise of their group mentor. The design challenges offered will be created based on real world events and projects, allowing students to apply their growing skillset to simulated realistic scenarios. The first five students who register will win a $10.00 gift card to Bridgehead!

Although groups will be created to encourage new connections and collaboration within the BMPD and Journalism program, students may request to be partnered with one friend.
